VIRTUAL AUDITIONS 2020

- Organized the dance portion of the virtual auditions and adjudicated the participants, assisting in determining the 2020-21 Musical Theatre minors.

Requirements for the 2020 Musical Theatre Minor Auditions

Auditions for the Musical Theatre Minor are still being held this year.  Because we are working at a distance, you will need to create a video audition and send the audition committee the link.  Your video audition should include the following:

 

1. A monologue, no longer than 2 minutes.

2. A short dance performance. Following the video posted on YouTube, teach yourself the “Hairspray” combination which we used in last year’s auditions. You can find it here:  https://youtu.be/jioPXVQyAQc

 

3. Two short (16-32 bars each) songs from the musical theatre genre. Try to find contrasting songs--one up-tempo and one ballad.
